Day of celebration: in the final week of term, the boys were presented with their "Prep Pursuit" certificates. Here are the boys of Prep Joss, with their proud teacher.
Lucky Cody! Cody was lucky enough to have his name drawn out of the hat by Mr Philp, meaning he got to keep Tiger at the end of the year. It looks in this photo like Tiger is pretty happy to be going home with Cody.
Ladder: it was a bit of a squeeze, but Steve managed to get everyone into the photo, even Harri!
Christmas Card: one of many cards given and received by the Prep Joss boys.
Mrs Joss: Its a picture of Mrs Joss. Hang on, click the photo, maybe its lots of pictures (1632) of the boys from Prep Joss!
Mrs Philp: Melbourne cup day, hence the hat.
Tropical Fruit World: we had a school excursion to TFW. It was so much fun and we utilised many forms of transport (our theme for term 4). Unfortunately we only had 14 adults to look after the 15 boys in our class, but we coped.
Prep parents: two social events were organised during the year. What a fine looking bunch they are!
Another birthday: This time it is Steve's birthday (he is the one getting squished by the boys). Lovely cup cake ensemble as a birthday cake (a few candles short though).
PE Uniform: out in front of class, in our PE uniforms, listening intently to Mrs Joss.
Aus-kick: many of the boys from class took part in the Aus-kick programme after school, coaching them on the skills needed for AFL. Steve reckons this should hold Cody in good stead so he is ready when Dan Carter retires.
Halloween: Mason and Cody all made up for their trick or treat evening. Needless to say, no one wanted to play a trick on these little devils and they went home with a huge stash of lollies.
Hugs: Steve getting a lovely hug from the Musgrave lad.
Bike-athon: The boys showed off their riding skills by taking part in the school bike-athon. Not only was it a great workout for the boys, but money was raised for a local charity.
Mr Baillie's birthday: as usual we had lots of fun celebrating a birthday, this time it was Mr Baillie's. He is so awesome.
Term 4 - Swimming: In term 4 we got to go in the bus across to the senior school to participate in our swimming coaching programme. Not surprisingly, the Prep J boys were all pretty good at swimming.
Frisbee time: Mr E took the boys for frisbee throwing and catching. Cody managed to make the frisbee behave like a boomerang, throwing it into the wind and then catching it. Concentrate Cody!
Birthday party: one of the many birthday parties this year. For Cody's 6th birthday we all did 10 pin bowling at "Strike Bowling".
21st September, House Athletics Day: There was distance running and sprints, leaping, throwing and many other athletic endeavours. Luckily there was plenty of water on hand as the athletics day was thirsty work. Once again, lots of fun was had by all.
20th September, Dads' breakfast. To show their supportive parents (and grand parents), there was a great turnout for the Dads' breakfast. It didn't hurt that there was bacon, sausages and eggs on offer plus some great coffee. We all had a lovely morning.
Conducting a Volcano experiment in the sandpit.
The teachers, suitably attired to control the African animals.

14th September - International Day. Prep performance - "An African Tale". All the boys dressed up as an animal and took part in the tale. It was such a fun day.
Cody and Mrs Bird. She has been a wonderful relief teacher in Prep J, when required.
Lemon tasting by Finn. It appears that the sour component of his taste buds are working fine.

Our beautiful teachers: Mrs Joss and Mrs Philp were very happy to receive flowers for being so helpful (I bet they get flowers all the time).

Student of the week: each week someone in our class gets chosen as student of the week. I was lucky enough to be presented the award by Mr Philp at our school assembly. My Dad was pleased with me as he said I looked nice and tidy with my socks pulled up, shoes polished and shirt nicely tucked in. My Nana and Koro came to assembly too. I was very proud.

Free Dress day: Dad wanted to get a class photo of us in our mufti clothes. Flynn was kind enough to make sure the correct TSS uniform was in the photo so that we didn't forget what it looked like. Not quite a full class today with Jack and Hamish away. We missed them. This was as close as we got to a formal picture, and it is especially nice to have our lovely teachers in the photo for the blog too.

Thursday August 3rd, Class Photo's day:
Mrs Philp reckons that after a year with us Prep J boys, she'll be ready to take on a role in a Formula One pit crew (she has such vocational diversity). She and I are having a bit of a test run here to see if we can get our pitstop time down under 7 seconds.
We have three mice (not visually challenged I believe) in class, complete with two cages, tunnels, wheels etc. I love spending time with them after school. This is Mrs Joss showing me one of the mice (affectionately known as "scruff scruff").
We have "wild animals" as our theme this term (Dad reckons there's at least 16 in the class already!). Today we made a paper giraffe each. Over the next few days we will glue and paint them so that they can stand up proud and tall.
We had our class photo today. Luckily everyone in our class made it in today to be in the photo. Quite a few boys have been sick lately.

Seaworld for Troy, William and Cody: It is the last day of the holidays. A great day to go to Seaworld. Troy, William and Cody are going to have a full day at Seaworld having lots of fun. Steve gets to be the taxi driver, photographer, security guard and packhorse carrying excess clothes and all fuel supplies. He wouldn't have it any other way. Who else will we see from Prep J?
We were joined at Seaworld by Finn's Dad (Mike), brother (Zamon) and cousin (Luther). They managed to avoid getting lost in the Bermuda triangle. Looks like Mike is pretty happy about it too!
Cody on the aeroplane ride.
Fraser and Cody managed to get involved with the Waterski Wipeout show (as did Fraser's Mum!).
A photo of the three boys with the Waterski Wipeout cast. Cody is beside his favourite (Blue boy, although Beryl-Anne is a favourite too).
This is Cody and Troy on the Pirate Ship (would have been useful last term!) with Fraser's Mum and sister. They all had a swinging time.
Troy and William in the van with what looks like a pretty crazy driver.
A photo for William and Troy with the lovely Meter Maids.
Another photo for the three boys with the Waterski Wipeout crew before we headed home, pretty tired (well, Steve anyway).

School Holidays - There is still lots of fun to be had in the school holidays, with birthday parties, visits to classmate houses, visits to Seaworld and Dreamworld, tennis camp, movies and much, much more. Dad seems to often say "boy you kids are lucky, in my day . . . . . ." I just smile at him and say "well Dad, you make your own luck". This is William, Hugh and I at Abracadazzle eating birthday food. We had so much fun.
There is lots of time for swimming during the holidays. William and I only swam for 3 hours today. I love swimming.

This is our building, in the TSS Preparatory school. Our class is on the bottom left hand side of this photo. I'm hiding in this photo (my Dad took it). Can you find me?

Thursday June 15th, 2006 is Pirate Day for the Prep boys at TSS! Our parents have been very busy getting our costumes ready and our teachers have also been busy preparing for a wonderful day. We will be receiving passports so that we can explore all the islands outside (photo's, treasure hunts, cannon construction, periscope painting etc). We are so lucky.
Here are all the Prep teachers about to embark on a big pirate day. Be careful with that cutlass Mrs Joss!
We really like having our group photo's and today we are in our pirate costumes ready for a really busy day.
A couple of the taller pirates from Prep J (hey, I think those are a couple of the dads). They look like they are very happy to join in our pirate day (maybe they have been sampling some of the rum rations?)
Our class is so lucky as we have wonderful teachers. They do so much for us. Mrs Joss and Mrs Philp know so much. We all hope that we are as caring and knowlegeable as them when we grow up.
